Before you meet him in person, you can learn a little more about Dr. Bonds below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
As a child, Dr. Bonds had a noticeable gap between his front teeth that he was very self-conscious about. His parents didn’t want to do braces, so his dentist used bonding to cover the space instead. Dr. Bonds still remembers going to school the next day and being able to laugh and talk without feeling like he had to hide his smile, and his friends and teachers noticed the change. He wanted to be able to pass on that feeling to other people, so dentistry was the path he chose.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Bonds completed a Ph.D./DDS dual degree program at Texas A&M University, so when he graduated, he received his dental degree as well as a doctorate in biomedical sciences. From there, he went on to practice in Coppell for six years before joining River Bend Dental.
Because dental technology and techniques are constantly evolving, Dr. Bonds works hard to keep up with the latest findings through his memberships in the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Life outside of the dental office is delightfully busy for Dr. Bonds and his wife thanks to their four children, one boy, and three girls. They also have a mini-Australian Shepherd named Smoky. When he doesn’t have his hands full being a dad, he likes to go sailing, and play golf, and he is currently learning how to play the piano.
